Kyle has over ten years experience as a patent professional, first as a patent agent and then as a registered patent attorney in private practice – most recently as a partner at a respected Seattle IP law firm.
His experience includes:
- writing and prosecuting hundreds of utility and design patent applications
- formulating and executing global patent portfolio strategies
- representing clients before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and in federal district court
- preparing invalidity and non-infringement opinions
- supporting patent-related aspects of financing and commercial transactions
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and his J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School. Kyle is admitted to practice in the state of Washington, before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Daniel A. Parrish

Daniel has over fifteen years experience as a patent professional, starting as a patent agent for multiple medical device startups in Minnesota, and later in Chicago as a registered patent attorney for one of the largest IP firms in the country. Most recently he served as Senior IP Counsel to a major medical device company in California. His experience includes managing complex patent portfolios and developing global IP enforcement strategies, all aspects of cradle-to-grave patent prosecution, and opinion work. He has represented clients as IP litigation counsel in U.S. federal district courts and before the PTAB & ITC, including post-grant proceedings, and lawsuits involving patent & copyright infringements, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, false advertising, and unfair competition.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, double majoring in Biomedical Engineering & Human Physiology, and his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois, before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, before the 7th Cir. Court of Appeals, and in U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also an inventor on a handful of granted patent families, author of numerous legal and academic publications including in Law360, Corporate Counsel, IP Insights, and the Am. J. Respir. Crit. Care Med., and was a treatise contributor to Patents and the Federal Circuit (Bloomberg). He was twice recognized by Best Lawyers (Ones to Watch, Intellectual Property Law). He enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and hiking in any National Park.
